I'm An Organized Mom

I never knew being a mom was so hard, until I had my first child. Girls think that the nine months of pregnancy are the hardest time in a woman’s life. I don’t think so. On the contrary, I think these are the easiest as she is well looked after, pampered and taken care of. Even the delivery part is not so bad, although for some it’s a nightmare they can never forget!!!

The hardest part is bringing up your child with the right amount of love, discipline, respect, courage and inspiration. I have three kids of my own and I also run all my errands by myself. On top of that, I work from home. So, actually I have a lot on my plate. Managing it all without losing hair is a technique that can be mastered with time and intelligence. Here are my tips on how to be an organized mom...

1) Teach your kids to take care of small tasks by themselves. Teach them to be independent so that they can learn to look after themselves. Little jobs like setting the dinner table, making beds, piling dishes in a dishwasher, checking the mail, mowing the lawn and other such responsibilities should be divided among kids according to their ages.

2) Next, try to keep realistic goals in mind. If you have toddlers and crawling children in the house, no one expects your house to sparkle and shine. Do what you can, cook what is easy, clean as much as is doable and then leave the rest for another day.

3) De-clutter often and regularly. This keeps the cupboards neat, reduces over stuffing of things and reminds us of what we already have.

4)And most importantly, don’t forget that being a mom maybe the world’s most difficult job, but it is also the most rewarding one. There is no greater bond or relationship in the world than between a mother and her child.
